We have compiled a quick guide to make the purchasing process as simple as possible. Its never been easier to buy than now, its a great time to either grab a bargain or make an investment. Our team is here to help every step of the way no question too trivial or request too large.
Firstly you need to register by clicking one of the links below this will take you through the simple process of what is needed to complete your bidders registration in the way you wish to bid. You will need a Passport or drivers’ licence for proof of identity and a utility bill for proof of address. As well as debit or credit card.
Fill in the form in person when you arrive or online with the relevant information requested and you will receive a catalogue that will admit 2 people. At this time, you will be assigned a bidding number.
So, you can’t make it? Not to worry you are able to bid online using our fantastic live hosted service with a live video and audio link to the action. There is a small fee of 1% + VAT that will be added to the final sale price.
You may be at work, on holiday, unable to be contacted on the day, or just know what you want to spend. Fill in the absentee bidder form online and we will do the rest on the day.
You may not have internet access to bid online on the day. One of the team will call you prior to the lot you are interested in and bidding can be done on your behalf in the room as the action happens. Just make sure you keep your phone on or provide more than one contact number.
The buyers’ premium is 10% + VAT of the final hammer price. (online winning bids are subject to an extra 1% commission) Allow a short time for the lot to be processed and make your way to payments where a final invoice will be raised. Once funds have cleared and the vehicle documents completed the car can be released at the end of the sale.
If you are bidding online, by telephone or a commission bid an invoice will be raised and emailed to you for payment, you will need to make plans to arrange collection or delivery through the link below or your own transportation company once funds have cleared.
Firstly, make sure that you have funds cleared or in place before bidding.
Every opportunity is given to the buyer to inspect the lot and view the history before bidding. We have one of the longest viewing times available due to our permanent residence at Long Barn Motor Museum, we hope to have all lots due to sell with us 7 days prior to the sale. We would recommend that you contact one of the team should you wish to view in unsociable hours, and we will try our up most to accommodate.
We encourage you to carry out all your searches and checks prior to sale day as no warranties are implied or given on any lots as per our out laid terms and conditions. Once the hammer foes down you are entered into a legally binding contract
All lots must be cleared by 72 hours after auction unless prior arrangement is made. Storage costs are based at £15+VAT per day up to 10days after the auction. We have a competitive delivery service and can recommend others if we are unable to assist.
We recommend that the buyer arranges insurance as soon as possible after the lot is won.
